D&D Basic Monsters: Giant Badger
A short step back in challenge rating. The Giant Badger appeared in the original Moster Manual as a footnote in the entry for the common Badger.
Like many other giant version of animals in D&D, the Giant Badger had a real life counterpart in the Repenomamus gigamticus, an ancient predecessor to the modern day badger and honey badger. Being about a meter long, the Repenomamus lived as far back as the early Cretasceous, probably living off a diet of dinosaurs babies.
