D&D Basic Monsters: Bugbear
A classic D&D monster described as large hairy goblin giants, with a knack for sneaking up on people. The "bug" in Bugbear probably comes from an old english word ("bugge") meaning a frightening thing, and it probably has the same roots as the word "bogeyman". I medieval litterature it was described as a creepy bear that lurked in the forests scaring children.

I like Bugbears. They feature prominently in my comic. I'm going to mention your blog there if that's OK.

The comic looks good... I'll have to sit down and do a proper catch up once I get the time.
